What is Acidizing & Production Enhancement?
Acidizing and production enhancement operations increase or restore production in gas and oil wells. There are many different types of acid and solvent blends that can be used on a well and treatments can be categorized by injection rate and pumping pressure. Treatments that are applied below fracture pressure are called matrix acidizing, while those carried out above formation pressure are called fracture acidizing.
What can Tacrom offer?
The first step in any well rejuvenation/stimulation plan is to assess the problem. Following this a treatment is proposed. We test the efficacy of the treatment fluids fully in one of our labs and once we have the optimum recipe we propose a treatment procedure.
We use multiple procedures and various pieces of equipment to deliver the treatment fluids to the problem area of the well. After the reaction the well productivity is normally restored to the original rate or in the case of a stimulation treatment the customer can see production even higher than the original rates.
Typical solutions used to treat various wells problems are:
- Hydrochloric and Hydrofloric acid
- Organic acids such as Acetic and Citric acid
- Solvents such as xylene, toluene, chelating agents, detergents
- Surface tension modifiers such as surfactants, alcohols
- Scale removers
- Demulsifiers
