Drilling Rigs

A contract for an Enhanced Field Recovery Project was obtained and Tacrom Drilling was formed on the 07th 0f March 2008. Tacrom offered a fast moving turnkey service for drilling and completion of shallow wells in the west of Romania. In 2009 an additional 75t drilling rig was delivered with the intention to extend the area of operation.
In 2011 Tacrom Drilling could obtain a newly tendered onshore drilling contract for drilling oil wells between 1000m and 1500m deep, mostly in the Vata field of Romania. Both rigs being Drillmec HH75 rigs do have the same technical features that make them especially suitable for drilling in highly populated areas, such as:
– Extremely small overall footprint of less than 1000m2
– Containerised auxiliary equipment for compact sizing and easy rig up
– Very short rig-up and rig-down times thus decreasing overall drilling costs dramatically
– The employment of DURA-BASE® mats to reduce well site preparation costs
– High safety standards supported by the rig design and lay-out
After the very successful introduction of the Drillmec HH75 rig, named Futura II, the demand for an additional rig that could also deliver heavy work-over operations became evident. Following this request, Tacrom Drilling introduced a fully refurbished Cardwell KB200C into the Romanian drilling and work-over services market. With a certified hookload of 130t this rig is able to perform heavy work-over and also drilling operations up to 2300m of well depth. However, all ancillary equipment was again kept very compact in size, and therefore the small footprint of the rig lay-out and the fast moving concept of the Futura II rig also apply to our new 130t rig, the Futura III.
Tacrom provides “fast moving Equipment Fleets” for small and exposed locations. The rigs, as well, as the auxiliary equipment is flexible and can be arranged in different configurations for purposes such as Drilling /Workover and Well Interventions.
The “fast moving” concept with polymer mats for reducing Well Site preparation costs underlines the fast upstream operation for an efficient production start-up of the well.
Tacrom focuses on small to medium sized mobile drilling units. It is our goal to maintain a modern and fit for purpose fleet of drilling rigs through a continuous upgrading and a strict maintenance program.
